My first graffiti art lesson

Father provides us internet broadband at home. With that we (my siblings) spend most of our time on facebook and youtube. I found the interest on graffiti arts and started repeating the video...pause.. play.. pause.. play. and sketching in between. He's my first complete sketch after trying graffiti texts a few times.. I did it all by myself with no help from anyone. Father was quite impressed with the result and said that I got the talent. Was it nice?

Sketching Lesson 101

Last week was the last week before school starts again this week following new year 2011. Big brother was home during the school break. While I was trying to sketch homer simpson figure by referring to youtube video, he did the same by drawing on artpaper. He hope that I could finish painting the color while he return to his boarding school as a form 3 student (15 years-old) in 2011.

I haven't touch the drawing yet until father help me during his free weekend. Meanwhile right now I'm learning to sketch graffiti arts..

Seaside Waterfall Landscape Painting

This morning, Saturday I asked father that I want to do painting. This week we do not the home internet line, the ADSL was strucked by lightning about 2 weeks ago. However around at 10am father help me choose me landscape picture from Google search result by using his 3G Celcom USB broadband connected to his notebook.

Again he has to do the sketch work for me. I started painting the sea background, I didn't the brush strokes ups-downs and horizontally. It was a mess, father wants me to maintain only do the horizontal strokes. I continue until finish, with father do some touch-ups.

Mountain Peak Landscape Painting

Last Sunday, between the time of breakfast and lunch my father and I we're having some good time together. Father did not work on weekend however sometimes he went to country side to attend to his small plantation.

I asked father to help me find an object to paint. Father is a manager in an Information Technology company in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, the first thing came out from his mind to search from Google with keyword "landscape". Guess, this is the painting we chose that day, wow! this mountain peak is so beautiful in nature..


I finished the painting with the help of father. He started with doing the sketch work with pencil then I continue with painting while father guide me on the brush strokes and selection of color.

My first watercolour painting with father

Today, after looking at father and sister doing the painting, I want to give try to do it. With the guidance of father to sketch outline of the images with pencil, I start exploring the color and trying to color the painting. Many times I have to ask father what color to choose to paint the lake, the hills, the sky and the trees. With only my left hand, sometimes I ask father and sister to help me twist open the color tube that were tight. I like doing painting..

My sister painting to teach me

My 13 year old sister is trying out her skill in painting to get me excited to do painting. She came home from government boarding school for holiday over the weekend. Today is a public holiday in Malaysia, in the morning she sketched some painting. Here's her painting, I guess the painting has some meaning into it..

Father first painting to teach me

Tomorow is public holiday. On 27/05/2010 after coming back from work, father prepare the painting set for use. He set the table easel, bench, painting paper and water color set, brushes and a cup of water made of cut-off plastic bottle. Below is his painting to get me interested though he has not done painting since he left school.
